Our story
Kyrgyz Routes was started in 2019 by Islam Sultangaziev, a guide who grew up in Karakol, between the mountains and the summer pastures, lakes.
We wanted travellers to see the Kyrgyzstan we know: not only the famous viewpoints, but the families, horses and yurts behind them.
Today we organise horse treks, mountain hikes and cultural trips across Kyrgyzstan for small groups and private travellers, always with local guides and families who know the land first-hand.

We are based in Bishkek and work with guides, horsemen and yurt camps we know personally. When you travel with us, your money stays with local families.
Small groups
Our group tours are kept small — [up to 6–12 people] — so everyone gets a good horse, a warm place in the yurt and time to talk with the people we visit.

Travelling responsibly
